Hello from the Ratties

Here’s an update for whats been going on in the luxurious life of our rats.

Max has gone into full blown chunk-a-chunk mode! We have had him for a little over a month now and he is now bigger than Abbey and Macy. Max just got neutered about two weeks ago and he is doing great! He moved into the cage with the big girls as of a week ago. He had to wear the cutest little cone of shame to make sure that he wouldn’t chew through his stitches. For some weird reason, Max gets hick ups all of the time! We have never had a rat do this but it’s kind of cute. He has definitely turned into a daddy’s boy. Jack hardly pays attention to the girls anymore because he just likes Max better. Max also recently won his picture in It’s a Rat’s World magazine!

Macy has now surpassed Abbey is size and weight! She started out as the smallest like runt rat we had ever seen and now she huge! But, she has still kept her cute little squish face. Macy is definitely the skeemer of the group. She always has something stewing in that little head of hers. She has also been lovin’ the new hammock that I made for them. It is very rare to see her any other place than sleeping in the hammock.

Abbey has now become the runt of the family. She is so petite compared to our other ratties. She has finally given up her hopes and dreams of running a marathon on her wheel. She has been enjoying sleeping on her face and loves the new company of Max being in her cage (maybe even a little too much). And, she has now turned into a mama’s girl. She loves to snuggle with me in the mornings when she is still a little sleepy.

So, at this point in time here are the rankings:

  • Abbey: 8 months old- smallest/litest
  • Macy: 5 months old- middle
  • Max: 2 1/2 months old- biggest/heaviest

Love, the Ratties
