Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

I remember when I was younger my mom would be baking in the kitchen and I would do my best to sneak cookies when she wasn’t looking. I was successful a good majority of the time, with the exception of these cookies. The guilty look on my face complimented the powdered sugar around the edges of my mouth.

These gooey bitter chocolate cookies melt in your mouth as they are united with the decadent powdered sugar. YUM YUM YUM! Now let’s get to the recipe!

  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 cup of mini semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar used for coating

Combine the cocoa and sugar, mix in oil until the dough is uniform. Add the eggs to the dough one at a time and add vanilla. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into the dough. Try not to over mix the dough to keep your cookies moist. Mix in chocolate chips.

Chill dough for two hours. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Scoop into 1 inch balls and coat with powdered sugar. Bake cookies for 9 -11 minutes. Enjoy!
